What is Building 3D Content..?
Building 3D Content is an Extensive Database of 3D Models, for use with MAP Software's
range of products (CADmep+, CAMduct & ESTduct). 3D Content can be searched, downloaded
and then integrated into your MAP Software Solution.
What's the benefit of Building 3D Content..?
In an increasingly demanding market, Building 3D Content gives you greater access
to up-to-date and dimensionally accurate content for your Building Services Projects.
New and updated content is posted on a regular basis along with the original source
data, enabling greater traceability of the information within your 3D models.
How do I use Building 3D Content..?
There are two methods of accessing the online database of content, both methods
require a valid, in contract MAP Software user account.

Please Note: Content on this site requires a MAP Software Product version of
2.40.036 or Higher
Method 1:
Through the website, content can be searched, viewed and then downloaded from different
areas.
- Advanced Search: Enables content to be searched on a number of different
criteria, such as Manufacturer, Type, Keywords etc .
- Quick Search: Enables a quick search of content through a selected Keyword.
- Featured Manufacturers: Displays all the Manufacturers with content posted
on the site, clicking the individual images will list all the content from that
OEM.
Once the required content entry has been located, the files along with the associated
documents can downloaded and then imported into any MAP Software Solution.
Method 2:
A separate application is available that will enable content to be searched from
your MAP Software Solution.
Webconnect enables content to be searched, viewed
and downloaded directly to your MAP Software Products. Content is instantly available
for estimating, drawing or manufacturing.
Follow the instructions below to download
Webconnect
- Ensure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed.
- Download the Webconnect files, Click Here
- Unzip the files into the Root Directory of your MAP Software Product i.e. C:\CADmep+
- To launch the application, from CADmep+ type APPINFO then click "Content". From
all other MAP Software products go to Help > Download Content
